What is AHA International?

AHA International, founded in 1957, is an academic programme of the University of Oregon and a study abroad organisation dedicated to increasing intercultural competency and international awareness for university students throughout the United States.

AHA provides study abroad programmes that support and guide student learning and growth; are academically challenging; and are aligned with the academic, programmatic, and internationalisation goals of AHA's partner institutions and faculty.

By providing transformative international experiences that integrate students' intellectual, intercultural, and personal learning, AHA contributes to the development of active, informed, and culturally competent global citizens.

AHA International's London Centre

Building on twenty-five years of academic excellence, the London Centre offers multi-disciplinary courses in various humanities subjects, including:

  • Art
  • Theatre
  • Architecture
  • History
  • Political Science
  • Literature
  • Geography

Each course places an important emphasis on experiential learning, transforming the entire city of London into your classroom by incorporating several local outings and excursions. Courses take advantage of the world class galleries and museums like the National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern, the Cabinet War Rooms, the Churchill Museums, and of course the British Museum, which is just a short walk from the AHA London Centre. Each term, students have the opportunity to experience London’s rich theatre options from the West End productions to smaller, fringe productions with big name actors like Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Judi Dench, and Sir Patrick Stewart.
